This exceptional George IV kneehole desk is attributed to celebrated London cabinetmaker Thomas Wilson and dates to 1799. Crafted in richly figured mahogany, it features a central recessed kneehole flanked by banks of drawers with original brass pulls. The elegant proportions and fine construction reflect the refined taste of the late 18th century.

From the dealer:
Having a moulded top, brass pulls, string inlay and rising on ogee bracket feet, Maker's mark to center drawer's edge.

Style it with the English 18th Century Mahogany 8-Day Longcase Clock for a stately office vignette or pair it with the Antique Framed Matted Horse Brasses for a scholarly study wall.
